Aiden Grimshaw's 'Curtain Call' was inspired by Hugh Grant

  • August 14, 2012
  • Sam Hine

That's right ladies and gentlemen.

Aiden Grimshaw's 'Curtain Call' was inspired by Hugh Grant.

Intense Troubadour Aiden Grimshaw spoke about this very odd inspiration to The Sun, saying: "I’d bought a piano for £50 and I started messing around. I had a vivid image of Hugh Grant on his knees at the end of a rom-com. That’s what this song is inspired by."

Aiden also let slip that The X Factor contestans actually mimed (!!) with Bon Jovi. "I mimed with him on X Factor. Whenever I’m listening to Magic FM and 'Living On A Prayer' comes on I think 'I mimed with them.'"

"Oh and I was once at a party with Rita and Gail Platt from Corrie, but I bottled speaking to them," he added.
