Adele and Katy Perry are eligible for Academy Awards

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has announced the list of songs eligible for nom­in­a­tion at the 2013 Oscars, and some popstars are among them.

Adele's passable Bond anthem, 'Skyfall', is up for con­sid­er­a­tion. If nominated, it'd be the first Bond theme to be given the nod in 31 years.

Other popstars on the list include Katy Perry — for the appear­ance of 'Wide Awake' in Katy Perry: Part Of Me which is sort of cheating — and Florence '+' The Machine for the use of 'Breath Of Life' in Snow White And The Huntsman.
