Ne-Yo regrets giving away 'Irreplaceable'

  • March 14, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Ne-Yo has said that he wasn't "dissing" Beyonce when he told Capital FM he regretted giving her 'Irreplaceable'.

Last week the perpetual hat-botherer told the radio station that he regretted giving the song away and that he wrote it for himself and himself only.

Today, after a bit of a ludicrous furore, Ne-Yo has taken to his Twitter account to clarify (please excuse the CAPITALS):

"I said I originally wrote the song for me. That's true, so OF COURSE I didn't want to give it away originally. IT WAS FOR ME. Once I realised how the song comes across if sang by a guy, that's when I decided to give it away. HOW IS THAT DISSING BEYONCE!?!"

Well it is good to get that sorted out.
