While we wait for Kylie to pull her finger out there is lots to love about this great new track from Salt Ashes.
Salt Ashes' real name is Veiga Sanchez (which is, itself, a pretty good popstar name) and we first wrote about her in 2011 when she had a brilliant song called 'Edge Of The Heart'. That song has now been removed from the internet in the way early songs often are when popstars go away and come back, so you'll just have to trust us when we say it was really good.
From her biog:
Obsessed with Giorgio Moroder’s blend of disco and epic dark atmospheres, Salt Ashes first sprang to attention with her cover of Depeche Mode’s ‘Black Celebration’. Salt Ashes has spent the past year honing her own songs in the studio, creating her signature electronic grooves, and drawing influence from artists as diverse as Madonna, Kate Bush, Daft Punk and MIA.
That's a pretty robust set of reference points, we're sure you agree.
