It's like a cabinet reshuffle but more important

Jo Whiley's mid-morning reign of terror at Radio One is almost over: in September Fearne Cotton (blimey) takes over Jo's show and Jo moves to weekends. Edith Bowman's also off to weekends and her weekday 1pm-4pm slot will now be helmed by the brilliant Greg James. After a shaky start on the station Greg's quickly become one of our favourite Radio One DJs, so that's good news, although his style can sometimes be quite similar to the station's proper pop champion Scott Mills. That's only a problem because Scott's show will follow Greg's on weekdays. Two similar DJs in a row seems slightly odd, unless of course Radio One are also expecting Scott Mills to move around in September, perhaps to a slightly more high profile slot, and just haven't announced it yet.

No daytime slot for Annie Mac, which is a shame. :(
