It's a sin(gle package with something for everyone)

The three major points for discussion re the new Pet Shop Boys single, 'Did You See Me Coming?':

1. The promo sleeve (above, modelled by Dumper) is great — the two 'eyes' fit the song's title (after the 'Love Etc' kisses worked so well on the previous single).

2. One of the b‑sides, 'After The Event', is today's Song Of The Day. It includes the following line, which can be filed under 'classic Tenno': "permission is bestowed according to postal code, terms and conditions may vary, it's nothing out of the ordinary".

3. The single is being release on six (SIX) different formats. Come back! It's not all a total con and there are lots of things you might like. The whole shebang includes three new b‑sides, a remix of one of those b‑sides, a Richard X remix of one of the best songs from 'Yes', the Stuart Price-produced Brits medley, a remix of 'Did You See Me Coming?' by amazing teenage keyboard botherer Unicorn Kid, and a Pet Shop Boys remix of the single. Just to be clear on this, what we have here is a single package that includes Pet Shop Boys, Richard X, Xenomania AND Stuart Price, a sort of high octane pop supergroup for the post-physical post-single post-actually-making-money-from-single-releases music landscape.

4. The End.
