…Hits one more time

  • October 10, 2006
  • Popjustice

We have been reading this book quite a lot over the last few days.

BOOKS THIS IS BETTER THAN
1. The Bible
2. To Kill A Mockingbird
3. Flat Stanley

It is a load of stuff from Smash Hits in the 1980s, put into a book — songwords, Black Type, adverts ("The amazing Music Muff!"), interviews… The introduction is by Neil Tennant (and is quite good) while the book also comes with a free poster of Wham! and John Taylor.

A lot of love has obviously gone into the whole thing. Perhaps, in keeping with this spirit, 'The Worst Of Smash Hits', edited by Kate Thornton, will be published next year.

The book costs £14.99 (not exactly a snip) but we are going to give some copies away on Popjustice at the end of the week, so 'stay tuned'.

If you can't wait, you can click here to buy it, and you might as well pre-order the new Pet Shop Boys book while you're at it, too.
