Dish of the day

  • July 30, 2006
  • Popjustice

There hasn't been much in the way of proper comedy filter house rave breakdown arms-aloft anthemage in the charts this year, but we think Sharam's 'PATT (Party All The Time)' should be NUMBER ONE for AT LEAST TWELVE WEEKS.

You can listen to it at this rather insubstantial MySpace page.

Interestingly (warning: what follows is not interesting) Sharam is one half of Deep Dish, officially one of the most boring dance acts of the last 200 years. Perhaps in the future it would be worth their while knocking out brilliant, stupid anthems like 'PATT' instead of remixing Dido and pestering Stevie Nicks.

Anyway, 'PATT' is based on a sample of this…

…the 'this' in question, for non-YouTube viewers among you, being 'Party All The Time' by Eddie Murphy. As you might expect, the Sharam reswizzle ignores all the boring bits and just uses the chorus.

It's been knocking around for a while (click here to watch it 'all going off' in Miami) but Pete Tong played it again on Friday so presumably it's coming out properly.

Who knows, eh viewers?
