D.I.S.C.O. bloodbath

  • July 18, 2006
  • Popjustice

Viewers, does this picture not strike horror to your very heart?

What you have just witnessed is a promotional picture for Chico's new single. It is popular nitespot anthem 'D.I.S.C.O.', but redone to be about Chico. As the man himself notes:

"C.H.I.C.O. — at the D.I.S.C.O.."

If you're thinking this sounds like the worst record of all time, prepare to think again. We asked Chico if 'D.I.S.C.O.' did literally represent the end of pop music itself and, controversially, he said no — it did not.

Five reasons 'D.I.S.C.O.' is not the worst record of the year, by Chico
1. "Because it is DISCO time."
2. "Because it is incredible, and incredibly catchy."
3. "It's superfun."
4. "It's Chicolicious."
5. "One more? Oh my God it's tops! It's great fun, it's oh my oh my."

It's hard to argue with that sort of logic, isn't it?
