Cher, Willow, Manhattan Clique 'et al': what's happening on the PJ Almighty?

  • September 14, 2010
  • Popjustice

1. Cher Lloyd

A popstar-to-be who capable of summoning more excitement and charisma in one small head movement than most so-called 'pop performers' can muster in an entire career. We are STILL enjoying the YouTube clip, and if Cher can get the Cole/Minaj balance right she is onto a winner.

2. Willow Smith (pictured)
She whips her hair back and forth.

3. Manhattan Clique

This remixing and production outfit have been around for a while but they've recently enjoyed something of a renaissance, as well as a couple of mentions on Popjustice (for their Example and Ed Drewett remixes) and their new mix of Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream' (listenable at the link below) is amazing too, so it's PJ Almighty O'Clock for Manhattan Clique.

4. Ed Drewett

He was 'atop' the Almighty until today so booting him out completely seemed a little harsh PLUS he is still amazing so that is alright.

5. Jessie J

We love this woman more than we love most things.

666. 'Camille Paglia'
Camille Paglia wrote a big thing about Lady Gaga for the Sunday Times. Some of her points were good but a lot of it felt like she was writing the article for the benefit of one reader — Madonna — and most of the good bits were buried by an avalanche of General Missingthepointness. We particularly love an outraged Paglia railing against Lady Gaga for "rudely" wearing sunglasses in interviews, and the idea that Lady Gaga has gone on tour to escape scrutiny (?!). Give it a rest Paggo.
