Bad W0lfy's new song is about nine different things

"LA-based NYC native" Bad W0lfy [ti]http://www.twitter.com/badw0lfy[/ti] has a BRILLIANT new single called 'Used 2 This', which you could probably add to a playlist alongside FKA Twigs, PC Music and Britney without committing any curation crimes.

We last wrote about Bad W0lfy when she was one half of Wrathschild and she seems like a bit of a superstar-in-waiting, really. Like, you can imagine quite easily how with the right team around her she's probably only two or three right decisions away from being a Tumblrpop icon with strangers shouting "YAAAAS" at her a lot.

Anyway, 'Used 2 This' is very good.

In the name of investigative journalism we asked Bad W0lfy what the song's about.

She told us that it concerns:

  1. Being you plus an alien in one.
  2. (And learning to love the skin you're in.)
  3. A rebirth.
  4. Self-surveying.
  5. Gender fluidity.
  6. Millennial expressionism.
  7. Unification, I hope.
  8. Deception.
  9. Pop to bop to.

She adds that the song's also about "getting into a relationship with yourself like you would with another, and feeling super awkward in your body and liking it"; in terms of influences she adds that she's "a 90s kid with a die hard love for 80s sounds, influenced by new wave, punk, a little soul and a lot of Boney M, Max Martin and the Swedish pop gods, forever and always my Soviet Russian roots, nature, robots, aliens, and magic".

There's a whole album on the way, which is extremely good news, but for the time being 'Used 2 This' is on Spotify and Apple Music and iTunes, so there you go.
