A Newsdump for 2 November 2011: From Robyn's bad eye to The Saturdays encouraging people to buy

  • November 2, 2011
  • Popjustice

» Robyn put so much energy into her performance at the O Music Awards that she burst a blood vessel in her right eye. (MTV)

» Serious Acting looks to have claimed another popstar victim as Britney Spears would quite like to play "a detective, assassin or even a bad girl" in a film next year.  (The Sun)

» Here's Taylor Swift doing a rather lovely cover of Justin Timberlake's 'Cry Me A River'. (Idolator)

» Labrinth is going on tour in the UK in 2012, which is surely good news for fans of both Labrinth and live music. (NME)

» Lady Gaga will perform on The X Factor on November 13 where it's expected she'll announce some details of the much-delayed Born This Way Fame Monster Ball This Way Fame tour. (Musicrooms)

» If you live in New Zealand and have been illegally downloading Rihanna songs then you might be getting a copyright infringement notice fairly soon. (3News NZ)

» Gary Barlow finds being booed on The X Factor quite addictive having been cheered for all these years. (Heatworld)

» A Justin Bieber fan has filed a lawsuit claiming that Bieber is the father of her unborn child. (The Telegraph) It's like (is it his) baby, baby, baby, ooh, etc. (The answer to this is a very strong NO from Justin.)

» Christina Aguilera 'celebrated' Halloween by dressing as a pirate and eating an apple. (Twitter)

» And finally, last night The Saturdays pushed a giant plunger and some lights came on above Oxford Street (The
Guardian)
and everyone went "oh that's good then" and then some people bought some stuff in some shops and then they took it home and then they thought to themselves "that was quite expensive but it's important we buy stuff because despite the banking system going completely tits up The Saturdays have appeared on a podium and tacitly given the 'thumbs up' to continued spending and in these difficult times I'd rather trust Mollie King than Mervyn King" and then they had some dinner and then they went to bed.

THAT WAS some of THE NEWS.
