18 things we can all learn from Ke$ha's 'We R Who We R' video

 • December 2, 2010
 • Popjustice

Ke$ha's new single 'We R Who We R' is definitely one of the three best Ke$ha singles of the last twelve months.

She's done a bloody video.

Very pretty. But what do we learn? Well…

1. Yes she did leave the iron on.
2. Yes her eyebrows are made of SHINY METAL.
3. Yes the creatively-minded Ke$ha likes to make clothes out of things she finds lying around eg on Lady Gaga's floor.
4. Yes the financially-sensible Ke$ha has been approached by the same dating website we saw in the Gagabeyoncetelephone video and she, like Lady Gaga, has made the fair decision to accept the website's cash in order to help fund this excellent video, and by 'fund' we do of course mean 'wring as much cash as possible from' and by 'Ke$ha' we do of course mean 'the people who make decisions like these on behalf of Ke$ha but it's Ke$ha in the Ke$ha video so let's just say for the sake of argument that it's Ke$ha making the deals'.
5. No, Apple did not give any money for their laptop to feature in this video so their glowing Apple logo has been obscured in this and subsequent shots because you can't give things like this away for free can you, no you can't.
6. Yes, since you ask, Ke$ha DOES have a favourite brand of tequila.
7. And yes, she really is very keen on it.
8. And yes, she is so keen on this particular brand of tequila that her latest hit video will feature what appears to be the same shot of it twice in the space of ten seconds.
9. And no, she's not done yet.
10. But yes, this excellent brand of tequila does indeed come in a variety of flavours. Or 'flavors'.
11. Why yes, in case you were still wondering Ke$ha has definitely seen the Gagabeyoncetelephone video.
12. And yes, that is a watch. It is not the same watch The Saturdays were paid to feature in their 'Missing You' video, it's a different one. There are a lot of watches around. The people responsible for inventing this watch probably do not have as much money as the people responsible for inventing the above-mentioned tequila because this watch doesn't appear in the video for very long. But it really is a very nice watch. Let's all definitely go and buy one because it was in the Ke$ha video and appears to have been worn by Ke$ha (although we do not actually that this is Ke$ha's wrist and are merely led to believe that it is, because a clear shot of Ke$ha wearing the watch probably costs like twice as much or something).
13. Yes Plentyoffish.com are chucking quite a lot of money at this.
14. Yes Ke$ha does look a bit like Jordan at various points in this video, albeit Jordan when she looks quite pretty rather than Jordan when she looks like a clumsily inflated Easyjet-branded beachball.
15. No Ke$ha you are not the king of the world, now get down off that ledge before you fall off backwards.
16. "Yes I have seen Mad Men or at least the opening credits. Why do you ask?"
17. Yes Ke$ha is indeed a massive fan of those horrible iTunes 'visualizer' displays.
18. And yes, that is the end of that.

Well done Ke$ha and well done everyone involved in this video.
