Afrojack had to be repeatedly convinced to do that awful remix of 'Bad' with Pitbull

  • August 30, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Afrojack almost didn't do that fucking shit remix of Michael Jackson's 'Bad' featuring Pitbull.

Talking to MTV about how he felt when he was first approached to work on 'Bad 25' he said: "You sit down and you first take a good, deep breath and realize what the fuck you're doing. Then you just do it. It's scary shit."

"He's passed away, he's the biggest legend of pop music…ever. People will say it's disrespectful, it sucks or you can never touch anything Michael did."

Well, it is a little bit disrespectful and it definitely does "suck".

Carrying on, the 'Drop Down (Do My Dance)' hitmaker said he initially tried to get out of doing the fucking shit remix: "The first time I heard about it, I was like, 'I'm not sure if I even want to do this because it's fucking Michael Jackson."

"It's an honor, but I was like, 'are you sure?' I talked about the schedules not working and they tried everything to get me to do the remix. They even got a plane to fly me to the original studio where it was recorded in LA to make it happen."

Blimey. It really wasn't worth it.
