Madonna's apologised to her fans in Australia for ignoring them

Madonna has released a two and a half minute long video of her apo­lo­gising to her Australian fans for not visiting them on her MDNA tour.

As pre­vi­ously reported, the tour was due to visit 'down under' later this summer but the dates were cancelled and it was confirmed that the tour would end this December.

The main reason Madonna gives for not going is so that she can spend more time with her children, claiming she'd be an "irre­spons­ible parent if I didn't stop my tour and spend time with them".

"Please forgive me and know that when I do come to Australia I will have made the wait worth your while and I will put on the greatest show on earth," she promises towards the end of the fairly rambling speech.
