Noisettes write better music away from home

  • June 19, 2012
  • Joel Freeman

Noisettes have been speaking about the songwriting 'process'.

When crafting the follow-up to 2009's 'Wild Young Hearts', guitarist Dan reflected that songwriting comes easier when "you cut the life that you live off temporarily when you're in limbo somewhere else", away from friends and family. "You can kind of reflect more on it."

''I feel the next time we go to America we would like to stretch it out a bit more, go for longer and discover some other places," singer Shingai continued. "Nashville was incredible, it's like everyone is a musician, literally everyone and I think it's kind of cool."

Let's hope things don't get too 'Nashville' on the next album, right viewers?

The single 'Winner', from the 'outfit's' forthcoming third album, is out on August 13.
