Cheryl Cole has asked people to stop writing stories about her X Factor "experience".
Striking a serious tone on Twitter, Cheryl said that "X factor was a great experience and time in my life and career but is now part of my past".
She then requested the press find new stories to write about, via the hashtags '#letsmoveon' and 'newnewspls'.
