Oh Land went to the cinema with Katy Perry recently

  • November 23, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Oh Land has been discussing touring with Katy Perry, alien animals and why most Scandinavian popstars are so amazing.

Talking to Q, she revealed that Katy Perry hired a cinema and made everyone watch Ghostbusters in their pyjamas while eating McDonalds and that she still hasn't been able to get the smell of candyfloss out of her clothes following her three week support slot.

Discussing the slew of Scandinavian singers she posited the following theory: "What we probably have in common is we grow up in countries that are very equal. There's nobody that thinks it's weird that a girl would go to a studio and produce her own tracks like they perhaps would in other countries. Scandinavia is pretty liberal in that way."

Worryingly, the interview ends with her banging on about alien animals that she looks up on the internet every day. "I think sometimes we forget how alien our planet is and everything very easily becomes normal." Indeed.
