Kimberley Walsh will star in Shrek The Musical

  • August 24, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

Kimberley Walsh is taking a break from the legendary Girls Aloud 'Year Off' to star in Shrek The Musical.

Replacing Amanda Holden in the role of Princess Fiona, Kimberley will commence her stint in October at London's Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. Walsh was due to start the role two months later, but due to unforeseen circumstances — Holden is pregnant — she'll start on October 5.

We can all agree that this is very nice and well done Kimberley etc, but we're halfway through 2011 already and the Nicola Roberts album campaign is well underway and should be finished soon, meaning there is NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT to start recording the 2012 Girls Aloud Comeback Album. Right? Right.
