Kylie's musical looks set to open next year

  • May 3, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

The Kylie Minogue musical mooted last year looks set to open in London in 2012, according to her long-term collaborator William Baker.

Talking to Female First, Baker said, "we're both working on the Kylie musical, using all her songs, which will hopefully be done next year some time. I can't wait!"

The show will be based on Kylie's life and career and will feature songs from her entire back catalogue.

Kylie has previously expressed concern at the reaction she'll get from theatre critics. "And the critics … music critics are one thing but theatre critics are something else. I suppose if it doesn't work then that's it — it's a closed book," she said.

Positive thinking, Kylie. Positive thinking is what is needed.
