Lady Gagas' 'Judas' video is going to premiere during American Idol

The video for Lady Gaga's 'Judas' is set to premiere during an episode of American Idol, her label Interscope has announced on Twitter.

Details are scarce other than that the video will premiere the week beginning May 2 and will feature Gaga as Mary Magdalene, with actor Norman Reedus playing Judas.

The video has been directed by the Lady herself along with her creative director, Laurieann Gibson.

Gibson has described the video as "really impactful", describ­ing Gaga as "a strong, committed artist" and adding that the two are "spir­itu­ally connected". She also said, somewhat need­lessly, that the video is "really going to shock the world".

Will it though? Will it really?

Gaga will give her first per­form­ance of 'Judas' on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this Wednesday.
