Stickerwatch: Taio Cruz — 'Departure'

  • March 17, 2008
  • Popjustice

"Hello. I am a shopper in Woolworths thinking of buying a compact disc of the urbanelectrosoultronic variety, but I can't decide which one to go for. I'll tell you what — I'll go for whichever one is by an artist who's won a Brit award, because that will mean it's good. What's this — Taio Cruz? I have not heard of him but he has won a Brit award so he is good. It says he has won a Brit on the sticker. I have not noticed the careful wording of the sticker and I will take this compact disc to the counter and make a purchase."

(The Brit-winning song in question is Will Young's 'Your Game.')

('Departure' should actually get Taio a Brit nomination of his own next year, by the way — it's very good.)
