Big love to Joss Stone

  • March 13, 2007
  • Popjustice

You may not be surprised to hear that Joss Stone's thankyous for her new album were so long-winded that her label ended up having to dump them on the internet.

The full, epic text runs to over 7000 words.

Some highlights:

"thank you so much to everyone in barbados"

"that was some serious cheesecake"

"you’re like the bigger, blacker version of mary poppins"

"it’s like you have a computer built in ur brain"

"what am i jabbering on about? "

"you cant rub sh** in my mouth and tell me it looks good"

"fact: lauryn hill is not crazy or racist. i have the proof. so whoever it is who started that rumour, i believe should put a call in to miss hill and apologise"

"all my love to the music, god, my family, my friends. my dogs dusty springfield and missy elliott, i love you two so much"

"music that we make today and sell in the shops — that will be around for hundreds, maybe even thousands of years, who knows?"

Looking at this week's album chart midweeks, Joss, you can probably rule out the 'thousands of years' option.
