Katy Perry's going to be releasing some more singles before unleashing "the full meal"

  • February 22, 2017
  • Brad O'Mance

Katy Perry (Artist. Activist. Conscious) has said she'll be releasing some more songs before she releases her as-yet-untitled fourth album.

In a chat with Capital FM (as quoted here) the 'Rise' hitmaker was asked what the new album might be called, which prompted the following string of words to come out of her mouth:

“I’ve got something swirling, but, you know, I think I want to put out some songs first before I give them the full meal."

She then said some more words about how we all have quite low attention spans:

“I think we are digesting things in bite size these days and that’s what we can handle. It’s not shade or anything at all like that…but when someone has a 17 or 19 track album and you’re like, ‘I have to take a trip to Mars to listen to your record in full!’ I mean I love you, you’re my favorite [FAVOURITE] dope artist, but like we want bite size.”

'Favourite dope artist'.

How about a new 'buzz track' in March, proper big banger in April and then album in May? Cool, cheers.
