Jessie J dressed the way she did to get people's attention

  • October 1, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Jessie J has sensationally claimed she only stomped around in a onesie wearing black lipstick to get people's attention.

Chatting away to Elle magazine (as quoted here), the 'Up' hitmaker said: "That really scary, spiky, cartoony kind of thing, that was me two or three years ago."

It literally was.

"Now, I’m definitely more embracing of myself as a woman and my sexuality and just being a bit more feminine."

When asked why she didn't just rock up in a nice flowery dress in the first place, she added: "I’ve always wanted to look like this, but it didn’t grab people’s attention. And in the beginning you’ve always got to do something that’s going to make people go, 'Who’s that?'"

So basically she was lying. How odd.
