Dr Luke worked on a "not uptempo" song for One Direction

  • September 27, 2012
  • Darren Sharp

Dr Luke has taken a timeout from retweeting Becky G to discuss his work with One Direction with MTV.

"I'm finishing up the mix today," he said of the song he worked on for the boys' upcoming second album. "They're a huge phenomenon and they're good!"

About the track itself, Luke said: "It's not uptempo. It's a song that some of my writers came up with. I heard it and I loved it. One of my producers, Kojak, and Peter Svensson and Sam Hollander wrote this song, and I was like, 'Wow, this is so good'."

That sounds like it will be listenable.

And before you get concerned, know that he also took a moment to mention Becky G, saying: "If you don't know who she is, go to her Becky G channel. Simon Cowell said she was a future star."

Amazing.
