It’s official – Bonnie Tyler will represent the United Kingdom at Eurovision

Story filed by Popjustice on March 7, 2013

BonnieTyler-001smallExperienced shouter Bonnie Tyler will represent the United Kingdom at the 58th Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden.

The song she’ll be singing is ‘Believe In Me’, a song which Popjustice tweeted yesterday but has since been mysteriously removed from the internet. EDIT: There’s an official video below.

The song’s written by Desmond Child, Lauren Christy and Diana Vickers hitmaker Chris Braide.

Speaking to a press release, Bonnie said: “I am truly honoured and delighted to be able to represent my country at Eurovision, and especially with such a fabulous song. I promise to give this everything that I’ve got for the UK!”

Bonnie is most famous for ‘Total Eclipse Of The Heart’, ‘Holding Out For A Hero’, an amazing album with Meat Loaf, and being soaked with piss by over-excited Reading Festival revellers in the 80s.

Blimey.
