Presumably at some point in the earlier stages of this song's life someone said something along the lines of "can we have something a bit like Kings Of Leon" but at a very different point in this song's life it became a rather thunderous, enjoyably overwrought boyband belter which is where we are today. Apparently this song will be the band's third single. There are even better tunes on the album, but we doubt the band will halt the campaign after single three so there is still hope for the other tunes. This writeup has been quite vague hasn't it. 'Presumably' this, 'apparently' that, 'we doubt' the other. Part of the reason for this is that this whole Song Of The Day has been built on doubt. We don't definitely know that this is the third single. The third single might actually be something else. 'The Internet' seems to think that it's the third single. We could, of course, drop a line to the band's PR team to check. But what if our enquiry prompts a response like "let me just check" or "I'll get back to you on that"? We want this to be Song Of The Day today, and we want to put this live now. What if our email prompts no response at all. What then? And what if we do receive an email, but the answer is "the third single is not yet confirmed" or - even worse - "no"? The fact of the matter here readers is that we want to do 'Lose My Mind' as today's Song Of The Day and we are not going to let the facts or any sort of potential reality get in the way of that.
