The salient points

• During the first decade of the 21st Century, the Sugababes were one of Britain's most amazing pop acts but it all went a bit tits up after that.


• 'Overload' and 'Freak Like Me' are two of the best pop songs of the last twenty years.


• As is 'About You Now'.


• As is 'Round Round'


• As is 'Stronger'.


• As isn't 'Get Sexy'.


• The band have undergone various lineup changes not that anyone really mentions that.


• (They do actually mention that quite a lot - in fact it's completely overshadowed the band's music.)


• 'Caught In A Moment' was another corker although for a proper Sugagabes ballad moment you want to be looking for the Top Of The Pops acoustic version of 'Stronger'.


• The 2011 version of the Sugababes features no original members whatsoever and that's a bit of a shame. The weird thing is, if when Keisha had 'left' (been sacked) the band had gone, 'do you know what, we're not Sugababes any more - we'll give ourselves a new name and start again', they'd probably still have a career as a band. But they tried to make the Sugababes thing work. And it didn't. Everyone knew it wouldn't. A bit of a shame.


• In 2011 the three original members of the Sugababes got back together to record some songs, which were scheduled for release in the summer of 2012.
