The salient points

  • Sophie has two surnames. It is always useful to have a spare.
  • She started off in an 'indie' band called Theaudience but thankfully they split in 1998 giving her the time she needed to become a very good popstar indeed.
  • This collaboration with DJ Spiller was the point where everyone went "oh, she's really rather good at this singing lark".
  • 'Murder On The Dancefloor' was amazing, as was 'Mixed Up World', as was 'Catch You', etc etc.
  • In 2005 she married one of the gentlemen from The Feeling.
  • Her oft-delayed fourth album, 'Make A Scene', was finally released in June 2011 and, frankly, not many people cared, but it was completely amazing.
