'1973'

By James Blunt

Yes you're in the right place. This is not an accident. Here are a few brief paragraphs about why the new James Blunt single is worthy of your time.

To appreciate this it really is a case of putting everything you know or think you know about James Blunt out of your head and judging '1973' on the strengths of '1973' alone.

Points are knocked off for the clichetacular "til the morning light" line but elsewhere in the song, with one hook, James Blunt has made his career to date not only bearable but almost amazing. The "here we go again" hook is the one we are talking about and it is quite brilliant indeed.

Listen for yourself and if it's not working imagine the chorus at the centre of a four to the floor, 130bpm dancefloor anthem and that should do the trick.
