Rita Ora scrapped a whole album before putting her new one together

  • August 24, 2012
  • Sam Hine

Rita Ora discarded a whole album before starting again and producing 'Ora'.

The 'Where's Your Love' chanteuse let this one slip to the Mirror when talking about mentor Jay‑Z, saying: "I had a whole album done and I scrapped it when I was 19, I didn’t feel it was me. Jay was like, ‘OK, start again’.”

“It’s incredible to have that sort of business mind behind you," she explained. "It’s all very well thought through and he’s patient."

Rita also spoke about her nipple flash at Lovebox and how her Dad quite rightly emailed her about the whole thing.

"My dad sent me an email saying, ‘Please don’t let this happen again, thanks’. So I bought some nipple tassles and said, ‘Don’t worry, Dad, that won’t happen again I’ve got a whole bunch of nipple tassles’.

Amazing.
