Paloma Faith's new single was played by Fearne Cotton this morning

Shy and retiring song­stress Paloma Faith debuted her new single 'Picking Up The Pieces' this morning on Radio 1.

Fearne Cotton seemed to like it, but you may as well decide for yourself so here's a link to a 'radio rip'.

Paloma explained that the song is "about self doubt and insec­ur­ity", and "deals with the issues of being in a rela­tion­ship with someone who is still recov­er­ing from a previous rela­tion­ship with another person".

'Picking Up The Pieces' is the first single taken from Paloma's second album 'Fall From Grace', which was produced by Holly Valance col­lab­or­ator Nellee Hooper.

The single will be released on May 20, with the album to follow a week later on May 28.
