Nicole Scherzinger has been taking credit for 'creating' One Direction (again)

  • August 17, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Destroyer of childhood dreams Nicole Scherzinger has been banging on yet again about her part in the formation of semi-successful boyband One Direction.

The 'Puakenikeni' chart-stormer claims (as found here) she "practically put One Direction together with [her] hands tied behind [her] back," which is quite an odd way to put it, and actually creates quite an unsavoury image.

"It's crazy to see how massive they are," Nicole pointed out. "They just performed at the Olympics and it just feels like yesterday we were auditioning them."

Meanwhile, in an interview with BANG Showbiz (quoted here), Nicole explained that while it was an easy decision to take the full-time job on The X Factor, she was a bit worried about messing things up again.

"This is where I got my start on X Factor, in the UK, I really just hope I don't mess it up this time," she wept. "I just put so much hard work into it, but it's the UK and US versions of the show have a different energy to them. The UK one is a well oiled machine but last year was the first year for The X Factor in America."

Poor Nicole.
