Look Sia's not going on tour but she might do some 'gigs' for dog charities

  • June 10, 2014
  • Brad O'Mance

Sia's backSia has confirmed she's not really up for touring this album but will probably do some charity shows for dogs at some point.

Having a chat to Music Week about her wigs and lack of press pictures etc, she also said a world wide tour was probably not going to happen anytime soon:

"I’m 95% set on [not touring]. I will probably do a couple of shows for charity — maybe for dogs. I have to be clever about it because it’s kind of stressful for me. I’ve been in recovery for three-and-a-half years and the touring is kind of destabilising. It’s such hard work."

She went on:

"Thirteen years of touring wore on me and now I’m really trying to create a very stable, consistent life that involves ritual and routine. The plan is maybe one-offs here and there, but not touring from city to city, no way."

Asked about fame and things like that, she basically said that a lot of her friends love it but she's a bit bored of it actually.

"I want to be successful and I want to be acknowledged," she mused. "It’s validating to have people play your records. But the part that I’m not interested in at all, which does not feed my ego, is fame. It creates real complications for me and my serenity."

Fair enough really.
