Kelly Rowland is going to be celebrated at an awards show

Kelly Rowland will be 'feted' at the third annual Essence Black Women in Music event on February 8, reports Billboard.

The 'Train On A Track' hitmaker will perform live at the invite-only event in Los Angeles, which takes place just before the Grammys.

Essence editor-in-chief Constance CR White said it was Rowland's "talent, drive and remark­able creative force" that showed others "what it truly means to be a young power­house in an ever-changing industry".
