George Michael has covered New Order for Comic Relief

  • March 3, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

George Michael has recorded his own version of New Order's 'True Faith' for Red Nose Day, promising to donate all profits to charity.

George  is set to release his version of 'True Faith' via digital download on March 13th.

Peter Hook, former New Order bassist, told the BBC that George's version was a "beautiful" cover.

"It's a very, very George Michael interpretation of the song and it's beautiful for that," he said. New Order will donate their royalties from the track to Comic Relief.

"It blew me away when I heard it," Hook added. "Not exactly to my taste, but it did blow me away."
