Bastille is going to be featured as part of the VEVO Lift thing

  • January 14, 2013
  • Brad O'Mance

bastille-massiveBastille is going to be featured on one of those VEVO Lift things we've all grown to know and love.

The 'Bad Blood' hitmaker will be the first of five acts to be featured in 2013. Last year the series helped expose its audience of 12 million people to the likes of Rita Ora, Conor Maynard and Lawson.

"Any musician would jump at the chance to reach millions more fans in just a few weeks," Dan/Bastille said about it all. "That’s why we are so excited to work with VEVO as the first Lift artist of 2013."

"We plan to give fans a really exciting and entertaining experience during our time as VEVO Lift artists."

Music Week also ran some 'stats' on how much this sort of thing helped the acts last year and was most definitely all down to VEVO:

Labrinth:
17m worldwide video views
+155% Facebook fan ‘like’ growth.
+37% Twitter fan growth

Rita Ora:
19m worldwide video views
+190% Facebook fan ‘like’ growth
+203% Twitter fan growth

Conor Maynard
17.5m worldwide video views
+137k Facebook ‘like’ increase
+72% Twitter follower growth

Lawson
10.9 million views
+74% Facebook ‘like’ increase
+51% Twitter follower growth

'Interesting'.
