Adele's '21' is continuing to outsell the second Gareth Gates album

  • July 2, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Adele's '21', which was released in January 2011, is the biggest selling album of 2012 so far according to the Official Charts Company.

It's managed to sell a further 596,000 copies since the beginning of the year, bringing its total UK sales to a fairly ridiculous 4.36m. It also means that it is outselling Gareth Gates' 2003 album 'Go Your Own Way' for the second year running.

In second place is part-time borelord Emeli Sandé's 'Our Version Of Events' with 532,000 copies, followed by Authentic Chanteuse Lana Del Rey's 'Born To Die', which has managed to shift 482,000 'units' since it came out in January.

The rest of the Top 10 is full of the usual suspects: Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Jessie J, Rihanna and of course Olly Murs.

You can see the full list here.
