Knock-off Nigel: Billiam's next career move?

  • August 18, 2008
  • Popjustice

With the Sugababes releasing The Boots Ad as their next single, surely the music industry's attentions must now turn to this potentially lucrative new way of connecting with audiences.

Next up, we nominate The Worst Boyband Of All Time, Billiam, to record their own 'hit version' of the tune from the 'Knock-off Nigel' ad campaign. For those of you yet to experience 'Knock-off Nigel', it is a campaign aimed at making people feel guilty for buying pirate DVDs. The campaign equates buying a pirate DVD with skipping bus fares, ducking out of a pub when it comes to your round and so on. We're not sure if comparing people who don't want to pay for things with people who don't to pay for things is the strongest message — 'Child Rapist Nigel' might have been a better idea.

Anyway, here's Billiam's next single.

Following this week would like to hear the Chemical Brothers' version of the Intel jingle, Christina Aguilera tackling the Bodyform ad, and Calvin Harris reworking the DFS music in his own unique style.

If someone in charge of music could sort that out it would be great, cheers.
