Indonesian Lady Gaga fans can make their own mind up about going to her 'gig'

  • March 20, 2012
  • Brad O'Mance

Indonesian Lady Gaga fans don't have to return their tickets for her forthcoming concert, despite being urged to do so by a leading member of Indonesia’s highest Islamic authority.

On Sunday Cholil Ridwan claimed that Gaga's aim was to "destroy the nation’s morality" by performing a concert in Jakarta in June and pleaded with fans to return their tickets.

But House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Pramono Anung has advised fans to make their own minds up. Talking to the Jakarta Globe, Anung said: "It is up to the people if they want to attend [the concert], and if people who are influenced by [the remarks] choose not to go, so be it."

The Jakarta leg of the Born This Way Ball tour sold-out within two hours of going on sale.
