Alcazar have announced plans to split

  • June 23, 2011
  • Brad O'Mance

STOP ALL THE CLOCKS: Alcazar have this week announced they are due to split, telling fans they want to pursue their own individual projects for the foreseeable future.

Speaking to Sweden’s QX Magazine, Andreas from the band said “we will take a break for an indefinite period and will not actively work with Alcazar”.

He also confirmed that the group’s last performance together will take place on August 6 this year, at Stockholm Pride. “We will be working in opposite directions from August, and therefore we want to give the Pride crowd one last gig."

Lina summed things up by saying “it is best for the audience”.

This year the four-piece collaborated with Same Difference on ‘Karma Karma’ from the British duo’s ‘The Rest Is History’ album, and also fronted the debut single from Dream Beats – a new Swedish production outfit which includes Felix and Märta from Le Kid.
