Who are The Golden Filter and why do they want to be in your ears?

  • July 23, 2008
  • Popjustice

Everyone loves a good, old fashioned mystery artist.

When
we say 'everyone loves a good, old fashioned mystery artist' what we
mean is that most people find the whole thing highly tedious. We have
explained to The Golden Filter , whose brilliant 'Hide Me' is today's Song Of The Day, that it's all a bit annoying and
they say, simply, "sorry it's so frustrating, but all of this song attention is
kind of unexpected. we just want to proceed w/ caution…".

'Whatever.'

The point is that 'Hide Me' is great…

…and 'Solid Gold', on their MySpace, is also VERY AMAZING.

As for the act's identity, history has taught us that one of three things will be true:

OPTION ONE:
It is someone you have never heard of, using the possibility that they might be someone you have heard of to stir up interest.

OPTION TWO:
It is someone you had sort of heard of but when you find out you will not be very excited.

OPTION THREE:
This is the Boogie Box High route. It is someone HIGHLY FAMOUS whose identity will EXCITE THE WORLD.

But at the end of the day, y'know, it's all about the music isn't it?

(We're going for Option Two, by the way, and if we had to make a guess we'd go for Blondfire.)
