Thanks to everyone who got in touch with details of where we could watch the Shayne Ward Woolworths advert­ise­ment online.

In case you missed the pop­cul­tural milestone/millstone on the telly, you can watch it online here at a spooky advert­ise­ment website.

There's no faulting the short-term com­mer­cial thinking behind the whole ghastly exercise, but even Shayne looks embar­rassed. And this is a man who's shared a stage with Chico.

Nevertheless, it's a strangely hypnotic piece of work. The clip ends, and you just  find yourself flicking straight back to the start, again, and again, and again. In any genre other than reality pop we'd be inclined to see this Woolies ad as a signal that the whole scene was about to implode; the truth, of course, is that things will only get far, far worse…
