Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj and Alicia Keys are all performing at a Tidal-organised charity concert

  • September 22, 2016

Beyonce

Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys, Emeli Sandé, Blood Orange and Bebe Rexha will all perform at a special charity concert at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on October 15. The whole thing will stream exclusively on Tidal.

The concert — titled Tidal X: 1015 and curated by Beyoncé and husband Jay'-'Z —  is in support of the Robin Hood Foundation and other as-yet-unannounced charities. There is, of course, nothing to suggest that Tidal is one of them.

"A strong education is one of the best poverty-fighting tools there is,” Robin Hood's executive director David Saltzman said in a statement (as quoted here).

"We’re thrilled that the proceeds from this once-in-a-lifetime benefit concert will support great teachers and strengthen schools. It will undoubtedly be an incredible night for everyone, especially our honored [he means 'honoured'] guests: the heroic teachers helping our most vulnerable children escape poverty."

Other performers include Lauryn Hill, Robin Thicke (great!) and DNCE.
