Ella Henderson has said she was nervous about working with Ryan Tedder in case he said her ideas were "crap".
Having a chat to our good friends Digital Spy, the sixth-placed X Factor finalist from 2012 was asked if she found the list of people Ryan Tedder had worked with in the past a bit daunting.
"I was definitely nervous because I knew the kind of people he had written with," she mused, clearly referring to Blake Lewis and Cobra Starship.
"You feel too nervous to even put your ideas in the pot, because you don't want him to be like, 'Well that's crap!' The label and Ryan were going back and forth and he was the one who sent the e‑mail saying, 'Just heard her cover of Drake — effing get me in the studio with her now!'"
'Effing'.
She went on: "So when I saw that e‑mail, I thought this sounds like a really funny, cool guy and I couldn't wait to meet him."
The rest, as they say, is pop history.
