One Direction's very own Gary Barlow Liam Payne has described the band's forthcoming third opus as "quite retro" and "very rock‑y".
"[It's a] very rock direction," he told someone at MTV. "We actually spent a lot of time writing this album. We're very proud of it, so we can't wait for it to come out."
Neither can we Liam, neither can we.
But how does it sound would you say?
"It's very live sounding, very rock‑y," he mused, before also describing it as "quite retro."
As 'Best Song Ever' clearly showed, the band are moving into experimental new directions, which is a bit of a worry for Liam.
"But it's very different so we are hoping people will kind of adjust to the music with us," he added.
