Joe McElderry's new album features "dance tracks" and "really high notes"

Joe McElderry dandruff'Santo Natale (Merry Christmas)' inter­peter Joe McElderry's been chatting away about his new album and its more "up-tempo" feel.

"I’m doing some more up-tempo dance tracks which are really com­mer­cial and pop heavy," he mused to — OH YOU KNOW IT — the Daily Star Playlist.

He also gave some detail as to how he goes about writing the songs and from which part of his anatomy.

"It’s great to be there writing tracks from the bottom and building them up," he explained.

Fans of McElderry's higher register are in for a treat as well.

"There are some really high notes at the end of this single, which has great lyrics."

This is all very exciting.
