Madonna's MDNA world tour was the highest-grossing of 2012 according to Billboard.
The 'jaunt' grossed over $228m and was attended by 1,635,176 people during 72 sold-out shows. In second place was Bruce Springsteen's The Wrecking Ball tour, which made $199m.
Lady Gaga's Born This Monster Ball Way tour earned her sixth spot with $124m made during 65 sold-out shows where she played to a total of 1,111,099 people.
