Olly Murs has defended his right to keep making music.
Chatting to BBC Newsbeat about the fact that he's about to release his third album in three years, the 'I Blame Hollywood' hitmaker said:
"People have been tweeting me saying, 'Third album in three years.' It's like Rihanna and various other artists. If you've got the songs there why hold back? Why wait? Just get it out there. I think it's a good thing."
Part of the reason he's in a rush, and it's not just because it's a good idea to make hay while the sun shines, is that he'd quite like some more Number Ones.
"I feel like I've still got so much more to achieve," he explained. "I want more number ones. I want to get more success on the album chart. I want to win Brit awards."
Mind you, don't for one second think he's not trying to broaden his horizons creatively.
"With this album it's not bringing the cheese like I did with the first two," he mused. "Not that it was that cheesey [YES IT WAS] but I think with this album, if one of my young teen fans likes it then her mum or dad is going to like it a lot more than the last two."
